Osteopathic Centre for Children
The Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC) is a charity that was founded in 1991 with the aim of providing osteopathy to all children regardless of the parents' ability to pay, and since its inception has become an established model of practise treating approximately 22,000 patients in the UK every year.
It is also a world recognised teaching institution offering qualified osteopaths the opportunity to study paediatric osteopathy for a further 2 years to earn the prestigious Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy (DPO). In 2019 it introduced the one year Award in Paediatric Osteopathy (APO) offering qualified osteopaths the chance to work in the OCC clinics under the guidance of a paediatric team to acquire the essential skills and knowledge they need to safely manage paediatric patients.

There are 2 clinics; one near Warren Street and the other in Shoreditch, and they are all run by qualified osteopaths under the supervision of specialist paediatric tutors and consultants.

I work as a volunteer at the OCC on an ad-hoc basis.

The OCC specialises in treating babies, children and mothers for a wide range of issues, some common like feeding and sleeping problems and other, less common, but more serious issues.
